"Rock Pool" is an embossed print inspired by sea and childhood memories of searching through rock pools for small ocean creatures that hide between seaweed. It has been embossed on a 250gsm Stonehenge printmaking paper in the colour Fawn using a technique called blind embossing. The process involves creating enough pressure on paper with the use of an etching press, to reveal the depth of the design, resulting in an enchanting minimalist sculptural effect. To enjoy the beauty of embossing, hang somewhere that receives lots of light throughout the day.
